The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has cautioned President Bola Tinubu against being misled into believing that Nigeria’s situation has improved.
Primate Ayodele’s warning comes in response to President Tinubu’s recent statement asserting that Nigeria is no longer bleeding due to reforms implemented by his administration.
In a statement issued by his Media Aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Ayodele argued that the president is being deceived by those around him.
He emphasized that the situation in Nigeria is deteriorating daily, with many citizens suffering due to economic hardships.
“Nigeria is still bleeding,” Ayodele declared. “It may not affect the rich, but every day, people are crying because of how bad things are.”
He urged President Tinubu to personally survey the prices of commodities in the market to understand the dire conditions faced by Nigerians.
According to Ayodele, inflation has made essential goods unaffordable, making it highly insensitive to claim that things are getting better.
“People are in anguish,” he continued. “Tinubu must not allow anyone to deceive him that it is well. It is not yet well. People can’t afford three square meals; it’s getting worse every day.
Don’t be deceived at all; people are in serious pain except those who are in government.”
Ayodele also highlighted his own efforts to support the masses, stating, “I am close to the grassroots, and I know how much I spend to support the masses just to feed.”
He concluded by advising the president against celebrating prematurely, as the cost of living has increased and the standard of living has drastically dropped, leaving many Nigerians in despair.
