The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State released a statement on Tuesday voicing worry over the economic challenges being experienced by Nigerians, claiming that these individuals were being influenced to vote for President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The main opposition party brought attention to the fact that many people who voted for the APC now see it as a mistake and are experiencing remorse.
Publicity Secretary for the PDP in the state Kennedy Peretei made this statement in response to claims made by Ade Adetimehin, Chairman of the APC in Ondo State, claiming the PDP was extinct in the state.
Peretei argued that the APC should apologise to Nigerians for their pains and suffering, rather than Adetimehin making such claims.
A dispute with Mr. Ade Adetimehin, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ondo State, about his irresponsible words, would have been superfluous,” Peretei continued.
People in Ondo State blame Adetimehin’s APC and its callous administration for their hardships over the past eight years; Adetimehin is likely the only one unaware of this. In particular, the elimination of fuel subsidies will have a severe impact on everyone.
“He fails to appreciate that even those who were duped into voting APC in the 2023 general elections are already lamenting their miscalculation, which has resulted in untold hardship for them and their families.”
