Aston Villa midfielder, Youri Tielemans has come out to express his frustration over his lack of playing time under new coach, Unai Emery. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, his current situation at the club is definitely not pleasant because he joined the club to play football, not sit on the bench.
Tielemans added that Unai Emery already told him his time will come, so he would keep training hard.
His words, “This situation is not pleasant,”
“I told the coach [Emery] that I came to Villa to play. He understands me, but at the moment he prefers to play with his two midfielders from last season. He told me that soon the games will come one after the other and I’ll get more playing time. I know this answer doesn’t get me anywhere, but what am I supposed to do? As soon as I get an opportunity, I want to seize it. So far, I’ve started once, in the Conference League.”
