MainOne’s CEO Funke Opeke who was suitably represented by Temitope Osunrinde said, there is gender inequality in the representational pattern in computer and software development. She added the ratio of this sex identification can be placed at 7:3 compared to the male gender as observed in the gender study pattern of global Technology report.

MainOne, again, is sponsoring the Women Technology Empowerment camp. This is the second time the organisation would grant absolute support for the Technology Camp. The camp is geared toward mentoring and educating girls in computers and software development. The camp is to assist a gender-focused interest in girls who might have meager skills in computer and technological training in the society. However, the event which is scheduled to be two weeks programme will help girls develop early interest in computer knowledge.

She, in addition, requires urgent need to mount a concerted effort at clearing off these inequalities. With the Technology Empowerment Camp, there is spectrum of views that the camp will help in reducing the gender imbalance in the technology world.
The Executive Director of W. Tec makes it known that the training adopts a pedagogic strategies that will enhance the learning operations of the girls during the two weeks program.
