Napoli manager, Rudi Garcia has come out to speak out regarding the controversy surrounding striker, Victor Osimhen and the club’s TikTok video. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, both club and player never intended to hurt each other with the recent actions taken on social media, and he hopes everything is resolved as soon as possible.
Rudi added that Osimhen clearly loves the club, and he would continue giving his all to make the current season a success.
His words, “Over the last two days there was a bit of trouble with some clumsy behaviour,”
“Nobody wanted to be hurtful, not the TikTok with the video of Victor, nor Victor by taking his photographs down on social media. Nobody intended to hurt anyone, these are instinctive reactions and are understandable.”
“It is his social media account, he can do what he wants with it. All I can say is that he loves this jersey and will give everything for Napoli this season as well.”

Victor James Osimhen MFR (born 29 December 1998) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club Napoli and the Nigeria national team. Considered one of the best strikers in the world, as well as one of the best players in the world. He is known for his elite finishing, pace, strength and athleticism.
Born in Nigeria, Osimhen began his senior career in Germany at VfL Wolfsburg in 2017. Following a season and a half at the club, he moved to Belgian side Charleroi on loan in 2018–19, before moving to France at Lille. Osimhen was born in Lagos, to parents from Edo State. He grew up in Olusosun community in Oregun/Ojota area of Lagos State. Growing up, his footballing idol was Didier Drogba.
