Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been added in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year, while Chelsea’s Eden Hazard is a shock exclusion in an XI dominated by Manchester City and Liverpool.
Pogba has endured a up-and-down season, after getting excluded in the Manchester United team during Jose Mourinho’s final games as manager before enjoying a brilliant role under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Hazard though, has netted 16 goals and assisted 13 in 34 Premier League appearances, netting 19 in all competitions to equal his most brilliant season in a Chelsea shirt.
Man City goalkeeper Ederson was chosen while EPL challengers Liverpool had three of their defenders, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Andrew Robertson and Manchester City had defender, Aymeric Laporte to make up the defence of the season.
City, who have 6 players in the team, have Fernandinho and Bernardo Silva in midfield alongside Pogba, while Sterling and Aguero are also part of the attack.
City and Liverpool dominate the PFA Players’ Player of the Year individual award, with Sterling, Van Dijk, Aguero, Mane and Silva shortlisted alongside Hazard.
Alexander-Arnold, Marcus Rashford, Declan Rice, David Brooks, Sterling and Silva have also been nominated for the PFA Young Player Award.
