Presidential candidate of the All progressive congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari says the 16 years rule of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)-led federal government is a disaster to the country.
Buhari said this on Monday, in Yola, at the at Adamawa APC Presidential campaign rally, noting that since the country’s return to democratic rule in 1999, which signaled the emergence of the PDP, it has suffered downward trend in all spheres of human endeavours.
According to him, worst of the federal government’s dismal performance is failure is insecurity, economy, education, provision of employment for the teeming youths and the dearth of our industries.
He pointed out that the reason why Nigeria youths are getting involved in forced labour abroad is because of employment. This, he noted will change, if he is voted as president. He promised to improve agriculture, energy, education sector, security and infrastructure to give employment to the teeming unemployed youths in the country.
He urged supporters of the party to ensure that they secure their permanent voters cards (PVC), advising that it is the weapon with which they can send the PDP-led government out of power.
Speaking earlier at the campaign, former vice President Atiku Abubakar remarked that the huge crowd that turned out to receive the APC flagbearer is an indication that the PDP is only existing temporarily in Adamawa state.
He declared that he is convinced beyond doubt that APC will win in the state.
