Rick Ross will be tried on charges of kidnapping, aggravated battery, aggravated assault and possession of assault, TMZ reports.
The popular rapper has officially been indicted in the incident concerning his groundskeeper, for which Ross was arrested on charges of kidnapping and assault this past June. Ross was accused of physically assaulting his groundskeeper, pulling him into his house and pistol whipping him.
However, there’s have been conflicting reports of the events surrounding the incident since then. Ross’ team argues that the rapper’s treatment of the groundskeeper, Johnathan Zamudio, was warranted on account of self-defense, considering Zamudio was allegedly committing a felony on Ross’ property.
Ross filed a lawsuit against Zamudio in September claiming that not only did the groundskeeper make up the incident, but he’s was working with 50 Cent, Ross’ most prominent foe.
No trial date has been set yet, but we’ll continue to update you as more information becomes available.
