A former Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, on Thursday said that Nigerians will never miss President Goodluck Jonathan when he leaves office.
The retired police chief, who spoke in Makurdi, Benue State, was reacting to the president’s remark that Nigerians would praise him soon after he leaves office.
“President Jonathan will be deceiving himself if he thinks Nigerians would miss him when he leaves. This is mere hallucination and wishful thinking”, he said.
He insisted that contrary to the president’s expectation, Nigerians are eager for him to give them a break as they are desperate for change in a positive direction.
Tsav also said that the only people, who may perhaps sing Jonathan’s praise when he is no longer in office, are those emergency millionaires and billionaires he created through institutionalized corruption.
He added that even some of the people the president appointed as ministers into his cabinet, such as former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku and his counterpart, Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Samuel Ortom will not praise him for alleged injustice done to them in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship primaries.
