Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh is set to travel to Belgium on Friday, January 29 for a medical check-up.
Oliseh has been recovering from an illness and was not with the Super Eagles Team B for majority of their training camp in Pretoria ahead of the African Nations Championship.
The former Nigeria international midfielder joined the Super Eagles towards the end of their training camp before they flew to Rwanda for CHAN.
After their shock exit from the tournament, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be returning on Friday and Oliseh will not be traveling with them.
According to Oliseh, he will not be traveling with the boys as he is heading to Belgium for a check-up.
“I’m not going back to Nigeria with the team,” Oliseh said In an interview.
“I will be heading back to Belgium where I will have a medical check-up.“
The Super Eagles boss could not confirm when he will be back, but assured that he will return in time to begin preparation for 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt.
