Wives of Local Government transition committee Chairmen in Delta State have been urged to support policies and programmes that will ensure the continued growth and development of the State as well as the next leadership of the State so that Delta can move forward.
The wife of the State Governor and Chairperson, Master Care Foundation, Mrs. Roli Nere Uduaghan made the appeal when the wives of the 25 local government transition chairmen paid her a courtesy visit at Government House.
Mrs. Uduaghan commended the women for their supportive role in the State’s affairs and their quick responses to her programmes and activities and advised them to extend the same cordial relationship to the potential first lady, coming after her and try to work together.
While praying for God’s presence in their lives and that of their various families, she reminded the women of the monthly exercise tagged; “Walk for Life” which usually hold every first Saturday of the month.
Speaking on the essence of the visit, Mrs. Elizabeth Mabuogwu, wife of the Chairman, Aniocha South Local Government Transition Committee disclosed that the courtesy visit was to show appreciation to the Governor’s wife, as she has been carrying them along in programmes in the State.
She said since their husbands assumed the leadership of their various councils, they had tried to find out time to show appreciation to her, adding that God will continue to bless, exalt and give the Governor’s wife the grace for carrying Delta women along in the scheme of things.
In her remarks, Mrs. Ann Ochor Ochor, wife of Ndokwa West Transition Committee Chairman also thanked Mrs. Uduaghan for her motherly care and accommodating them in the State affairs.
