Unknown gunmen, Wednesday, stormed Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing four people.
The attackers, numbering about 20, armed with sophisticated weapons, were said to have swooped on Wat village of Kuru District of the local government at about 1.00 a.m, killing four people before they were repelled by some youths, who summoned the courage to confront the attackers before the arrival of security agencies.
It was gathered that the attackers, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, were part of those who had been terrorising the local government and the neighbouring Barkin Ladi and Riyom council areas.
The state Police Public Relation Officer, SP Felicia Anslem confirmed the killings, adding that the police had commenced full investigation into the incident.
