President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that he is very bothered by consistent communal killings in Kaduna state, which he feels is now a politicised violence.
He was not pleased with the fact that everything is politicised in the country, including plans to apprehend and jail the offenders, since the people will be fully against any form of arrest and prosecution.
He described hate, bigotry and prejudice as deadly poisons that have dismantled the reasoning of the perpetrators in massive levels so much so that no one now has regard for human lives anymore.
His words, ” I am deeply troubled by the fact that sanctity of life is now treated with such reckless disregard that people derive joy in shedding the blood of others or perceived enemies.
Inhumanity has replaced compassion in the hearts and minds of the perpetrators of these atrocities.
No responsible leader would go to bed happy to see his citizens savagely killing one another on account of ethnic and religious bigotry.
According to Buhari, violence will never be the answer to these conflicts.
The President also noted that his government is fully committed to protecting his citizens.
