Spain coach, Luis Enrique has come out to hail goalkeeper Unai Simon for coping after his mistake at Euro 2020. He recently revealed that the 24-year-old’s attitude proved why he has faith in the goalie.
According to him, what Unai did was a huge lesson for all his teammates and for all the young kids who want to play football someday.
He added that football is a sport of mistakes and all that matters is how players bounce back from it.
His words, “[Unai Simon] has taught everyone a lesson. After a mistake, your mistake does not matter, but your attitude after the mistake.”
“It is a lesson for all his team-mates and for all the children who want to play football.”
On Spain, “It was an epic match. It had positive and some negative things.”
“Football is a sport of mistakes. The two sets of fans have applauded the two teams for the effort and show that the two teams have given.”
“I have lived through some very intense matches, but this is one of the most.”
