Chelsea’s new kits were unveiled on Saturday, as the reigning Premier League champions launched their new relationship with Nike in some style.
The Blues announced a 15-year kit deal with the German sportswear manufacturers in October, and opted to use FIFA 18 ‘star’ Alex Hunter to unveil the new strip this weekend.
The designs, while simplistic, have largely been warmly received by Chelsea fans, and Nigeria wideman Victor Moses has also tweeted his approval of the kit.
“Quality new Nike Chelsea kit,” the 26-year-old wrote on his @VictorMoses Twitter handle, before adding the ‘We are the Pride’ hashtag that’s accompanied the launch.
The Nigeria international enjoyed an unexpected renaissance under Antonio Conte last season, being drafted into the team in an unfamiliar right wing-back role, despite having been tipped for the exit door last summer.
Indeed, Moses was influential as the Londoners won the title — notably netting a valuable winner against nearest rivals Tottenham Hotspur — although his season ended in disappointment when he was acrimoniously dismissed in the FA Cup final.
His stock has risen so much that he’s been featured prominently in both Chelsea and Nike’s promotional material for the kit launch.
