Chelsea are still without Victor Moses as they prepare to take on Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, April 5.
Moses missed Chelsea’s home loss to Crystal Palace on Saturday, April 1 with a toe injury.
The Nigerian wing-back was replaced by Pedro Rodriguez as Chelsea lost to cut their lead at the top of the Premier League table.
Ahead of the visit of Manchester City, Moses could not train with the first team on Monday and Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is unsure of the player’s availability.
“I don’t know [about Moses], if he will be available for tomorrow. We will have another day to check the situation in the right way,” Conte said in a press conference ahead of the game.
“We have a couple of situations to check and then make the best decision for the starting 11 tomorrow.’”
“Victor Moses is an important player because he’s having a great season, but Pedro played very well in that wing-back position,” Conte told Chelsea’s official website.
“As wingers, they are very offensive and that showed we wanted to play our football. Pedro had a very good game.”
Moses suffered a calf injury in Chelsea’s 1-0 FA Cup win over Manchester United on Monday, March 13 but still played in their 2-1 win at Stoke City in the Premier League on Saturday, March 18.
He missed out on the Super Eagles friendly game against Senegal on Thursday, March 27 because of the injury.
