Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has rubbished reports that Georginio Wijnaldum will leave the club.
This is coming amid speculation the midfielder is a transfer target for Barcelona.
Asked about the rumors, Klopp simply refused to discuss the matter in detail on Friday and disclosed that it is an open contract situation.
He added that the saga is between Liverpool and the player, not the general public, until an announcement is made by the club.
His words, “That’s an open contract situation, otherwise we would know.
“It’s all between us and the player, these kind of things. It’s all good at the moment, all fine. Gini played very well in pre-season and has obviously had a couple of good seasons for us. That’s all I can say about that.”
