The World Health Organization, has continued to commemorate the antimicrobial week by giving out new set of guidelines to combat antimicrobial resistance.
WHO advised that before taking medicines especially antibiotics, people should firstly consult doctors or health care givers.
According to WHO people should only take antibiotics prescribed by healthcare professionals and medical practitioners.
WHO also advised against sharing of antibiotics. People should therefore remember that the spread of antimicrobial resistance can be stopped by uniting with one another.
