National leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday, told all its governors, federal and state legislators, ministers, chairmen of locals, all appointed and other elected officials to be prudent in the management of resources if the party must continue to get the votes of Nigerians in presidential and general elections.
The PDP however reiterated its call on Nigerians irrespective of ethnicity, religion, region or party affiliation to live in unity and remain peaceful.
The party however urged Nigerians to emulate the people of scotland who have chosen to preserve their more than 300 years union by voting to stay in Britain irrespective of challenges of ethnic diversity.
According to Metuh, the decision by the Scots has shown that “citizens can indeed push through their resolve to live together and peacefully as one people with a common destiny despite their differences, perceived or real.
“We might be different in our tongues, tribes and religious affiliations but, as one people, let us not dwell on these differences but rather magnify those things that bind us together so that we continue to live together in peace, love and unity.” [Vanguard]
